You can operate a Lazair for many years with nothing more than an ASI in a bullet case or Hall indicator. You have to remember to look at them however.

yep thats the one i carved out of aluminum and used a mckusick pod. still, the instruments i stare at the most are EGT and RPM. the ASI is more for confirmation, and the VSI is there for thermal measurements....the altimeter is there only for legalities.
