Let's see who know what Ultraflight was advertizing a ser 3 for in 1985 ?

If makes the New Dcell offer look pretty cheap 22 years later.

Ozzie, Thanks for that update.

D cells at 450 $ 25 years ago ..........
so 1500 not bad then.

In 1985 Series 3 were advertized at 6800$ in Kit form.

That Lazair Mono float the Dale bought back last year for 7 ro 8k he sold to original owner factory built for about $ 15000.00 and bought it back 22 years laster fro 50% of that. Good deal.

SO what would a Lazair sell for now if it was available?

$12740.52 in the year 2006 has the same "purchase power" as $6800 in the year 1985.

i bought my kit back in 1986... Lazair had a clearance sale on the series 3's... they were marked down to $2685.00 plus shipping... a steal of a deal! (i believe this is when lazair was going through chapter11 or whatever yall call it up there)...

i put about 200 hours of fantastic low and slow cruising on it... too bad she and the hanger that she was in got rolled up into a nasty ball of aluminum and Tedlar and hanger pieces when hurricane andrew hit louisiana back in early 90's :(
