Notes: The Lazair was designed in 1978 and production began in 1979. This 1983 Lazair has an overhead control stick, rudder control systems, castering tailwheels, stylish wheelpants, and independent disk brakes as standard equipment. The wings and tail surface are covered with a product called tedlar, an alloy of Mylar and Teflon which is nearly impervious to ultraviolet damage, it can also be painted. The Lazair became part of the museum collection June 3, 1991.
