So you have never set you carbs thinking it was tuned perfectly, then go for take-off only to have an engine quit? It has happened to me and a few other people I know. After landing, the engine is cool enough to start up again, but one has to increase the mixture to prevent the same thing from happening. We are at 2500 ft above sea level and don't have as much power as the guys that fly close to sea level. So we are always trying to squeeze as much power as we can...
