Page 36 Good picture of Dale Kramer in a typical series 1, and a shot of the factory floor. The second floor area was off limits to visitors! The wing spar assemblies were produced there. In the background you can see a pile of shipping crates. The early series ones were shipped in round cardboard tubes.

Page 39 The Lazair was the first Ultralight to use Rotax engines! Dale, Linda and Peter Lawrence visited Bombardier in Austria during the summer of 1983 after attending and displaying at the Paris Airshow.

Page 40. They cheated a little because they had some practice building a series II first. The series III came out half way through their build, so I hauled them a new kit and sold the first one to a fellow nearby.

Page 41. The big ugly heat gun they used was borrowed from me. That's a piece of rubber I taped around the end of the nozzle to keep people from burning holes in the Tedlar.
