Hey Shannon, don't quit now. There are something like another 11 pages (!) on the Lazair in that issue, plus a half page ad with Linda Kramer at the controls!

Hi Chappy,
Maybe you can scan and post the additional pages. All I have is this cover page of the magazine (the article is on the reverse side) .
Have you been able to do anything with your EC ?

Unfortunately, my old scanner has been rendered inert by Microsoft's and Visioneer's contempt for old customers. I'll see if I can get a usable install on my daughter's older laptop, or maybe Santa will bring me a new scanner.
The brand new Series 3 on the Magazine's cover 25 years ago was built from a kit that I delivered to AOPA for the project. It replaced a half built Series 2 kit I had also supplied that they had started, but when the new, improved (as they always say) Series 3 was released, AOPA and Ultraflight decided to replace the half built Lazair with the new model. After we get the rest of the articles posted here, I'll write up a little story on the story for you guys.
The EC is buried in storage. After searching for an EC for a dozen years, it's hard to accept that I've had it now for 2 years w'o being free to get to it, but that's life, I guess. I have been collecting materials for the redo, with a roll of Tedlar and Tedlar tape, and some replacement components such as a tailwheel and fuel tank. If you think that's bad, I worked on my Champ with a co-owner last winter to replace several broken ribs in a wing and rebuild the landing gear. A lot of work, actually, what with all the fabric, welding and paint involved. And I haven't flow it once since. Crummy health sucks...

Amazingly, I found a pristine copy, so I scanned all the Lazair related stuff in the AOPA Magazine! (Most scanned at 150 dpi)
