2006 Convention Volunteers Needed
Be part of the action! In preparation for the 2006 convention we're in need of volunteers to help out with site prep and certain activities. Here is a list of items we need help with Front welcome booth. We need people who can alternate manning the booth. Duties include taking attendance and handing out schedule flyers and answering any questions. Ground prep. Cutting grass, cleaning up, setting up tables, flagpoles, stocking Café Lazair etc… Aircraft marshalling. Help out with aircraft arrival/departures and parking. We need people to help sell the tickets for the Saturday dinner Merchandise booth. Membership booth. Assist with people who want to join or renew their UPAC membership Since the convention runs 3 days we need enough people to cover these duties with shift work so everyone can get a chance to participate and attend various workshops and seminars. If you can help out with any of these activities please contact us using the feedback form and tell us how you can help out! A special convention-planning meeting will be held on Saturday August 5th at the Lubitz farm starting at 8AM. Grounds prep begins approximately 2 weeks prior to the convention and free camping is available for those wishing to help out.

Thanks, The UPAC board of directors

Great Times had by all,

Big turn out at UPAC AGM dispite the wet weather. Good to see some new faces and the regulars. Hats off to all the volunteers. Everything was very well organized as usual.

Lots of new stuff going on this year, like the FLY MART, lots of goodies there, I am sure it will be even bigger next year.

Mike Thorp and I did a covering seminar, he did the fabric and I did Tedlar. Everyone seemed pleased and we will be back next year.

No Lazairs this year, due to weather, I decided not to fly the 100 miles or so down.

Hope others will post some comments re UPAC. It just keeps getting better every year.

Until next year.
